This policy explains what OpenWheel Arena Quiz (“the app”, “we”) collects, why, and the choices you have. The app is an unofficial, fan-made project currently in closed beta.
Beta waitlist
If you join the beta waitlist on this site, we collect the email you provide, the platform you want to test on (iOS, Android or both), an optional country, your interface language and your explicit consent, together with the date you joined and the date you last updated your entry.
We use this only to contact you about the OpenWheel Arena Quiz beta, manage the waitlist and send you important information about beta access. We do not store your IP address.
The waitlist is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare D1). To be removed from the waitlist at any time, email support@owarena.com.
Account & authentication
To play, you create an account with an email address and a password, or a one-time code (OTP) sent to your email. We store your email to authenticate you and to contact you about your account or support requests.
Public profile & Pseudo#TAG
Your display name and unique tag (your “Pseudo#TAG”), avatar, optional bio and country are visible to other players so they can find, friend and challenge you. You may optionally make a public profile reachable via a profile link; you control whether your profile is public.
Gameplay data
We store the data needed to run the game: quiz answers and scores, Ranked results and ELO rating, friendly Duel history, race-weekend predictions and points, achievements, daily activity and in-game progression.
Leaderboards & clans
Ranking-relevant data (rank, ELO, prediction points) appears on in-app leaderboards. If you create or join a clan, your membership, role and clan chat messages are visible to other clan members.
Crash reporting & analytics
We use Sentry to capture crash and error reports so we can fix bugs, and PostHog (EU hosting) for privacy-minded product analytics about how features are used. These help us improve stability and gameplay.
Purchases
The app is free to play during the beta. If and when optional purchases are enabled, they are processed by Apple, Google and RevenueCat. We never see or store your full payment-card details.
Notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications (for example a duel invite or a friend request) via Expo Push. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Where your data lives
Account, profile and gameplay data are stored with Supabase (Postgres, Auth and Storage) hosted in the European Union (eu-west-1). Access is protected by row-level security and server-side controls.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can delete your account. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@owarena.com.
Children
The app is not directed to children under the age of digital consent in their country. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact support and we will remove it.
